Cristiano Ronaldo Creates one more record; as Juventus beats Udinese

75 / 100

Cristiano Ronaldo broke’s Pele’s domestic goal record with his 758th goal in Juventus’ 4-1 Serie A win over Udinese.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been a highlight topic between match with Udinese with his performance as Juventus were clearly seen to be a winner.

The Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was the man to open the scoring, thanks to Aaron Ramsey’s dispossession which put him on coarse for the goal, and he made no mistake on firing hard and fast leaving the keeper with no chance of denying him. That goal levelled the Brazilian Legend Pele’s (also known as Edson Arantes Do Nascimento) goal tally of 757 goals.

The Portuguese international has now moved ahead of the Brazilian legend Pele in the all time goal scoring list, with Czech Republic icon Josef Biscan the only player ahead of him.

Biscan’s career total stands at 759 during a playing career spanning from 1931 to 1955, with Ronaldo expected to break the record in the coming weeks of the season.

While we talk about the match, Udinese were so close to take a lead in the game however, after Rodrigo de Paul placed his effort in the goal only for VAR (Video Assistant Referees) to rule out the goal for an earlier Violation.

Shortly into the second-half Cristiano Ronaldo was again involved in a goal. The Portuguese’s fine ball in behind the defence allowed Federico Chiesa free in on goal, and he calmly slots past the goalkeeper’s left.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s historic goal to surpass Pele was rather similar to that of Chiesa, although it was Bentancur who slotted the ball through, and Ronaldo did his own running to get inside the box into the space, but his effort was also slotted past the keeper’s left.

Udinese scored just before the 90 minutes was up after some more fine work down the right-flank, with Zeegelaar mopping up the loose ball after the cross was managed towards the penalty spot.

But even with the victory assured and the minutes on the clock ticking down, Juventus army refused to stop. Striker Paulo Dybala ran through the middle of the two defenders onto a sweet ball to find himself one-on-one with the keeper, and finished the game in a very impressive way.

Talking about Ronaldo’s new record, Lionel Messi could still be the person to challenge Ronaldo, after he surpass Pele’s one club record at the end of 2020, with 644 goals now scored for Barcelona.

Messi’s all time total is 715 for club and country, however, at two years younger than Ronaldo, he could yet overtake him before retirement.
Ronaldo is currently leading Messi in goal scored so far in 2020-21, with 18 compared to 10 in all competitions, but Messi has outscored him in the last four seasons.

Even after Juventus 4-1 to start 2021 but no doubt Ronaldo will be the hot topic in the match.
