T Natarajan Included In Test Squad Replacement for Umesh Yadav – India Vs Australia

As you all know T Natarajan the Indian Cricket Team Yorker Specialist has been in the news since the beginning of Australia Vs India ODI Series. With his magnificent bowling performance in T20 Natarajan proved that team management took the right decision by including him in the team.

T Natarajan had started off as a net bowler during the series against Australia and then made it to the T20I and ODI squads.

Thangarasu Natarajan on Friday replaced injured pacer Umesh Yadav in the India Test team for the remaining two matches against Australia, considering his outstanding performance in international cricket. The youngster took eight wickets, two in ODIs and six wickets in T20Is and had impressed the visitors with his innovative bowling.T Natarajan has played one ODI and three T20Is for India

Umesh Yadav sustained a strain in his left calf muscle on Day 3 of the second Border-Gavaskar Test in Melbourne. He underwent scans later in the day. The fast bowler will not recover completely ahead of the remaining two Test matches and has been ruled out of the series.

Earlier, Shardul Thakur had replaced an injured Mohammed Shami in the squad before the second Test.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named T Natarajan as Yadav’s replacement. Ahead of the Boxing Day Test, Shardul Thakur was added to the Test squad as Mohd. Shami’s replacement after the senior fast bowler suffered a hairline fracture in his right forearm. Both Shami and Umesh Yadav will head to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for further rehabilitation of their injuries.

Rohit Sharma has completed his quarantine and has now joined the Indian Cricket Team in Melbourne.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has also been named vice-captain for the remaining test matches. The 33-year-old Mumbaikar, who had missed the limited-overs series as well as the first two Tests against Australia due to a hamstring injury, that happened during IPL and now rejoined his team in Melbourne on Thursday and his ready to play.
