WTC series one – West Indies Vs India August 2019.

WTC – India played their first 2 match test series in August 2019 against west indies wherein the Indian pacers collapsed west Indies batting line up for the scores of 222, 100, 117 and 210. Mohammed Shami, IShant Sharma and the death bowling specialist Jasprit Bumrah each have taken 9+ wickets. India won the series 2-0.

WTC series No 2 – India Vs South Africa Oct 2019.

India played 3 test match series against south Africa in oct 2019 with an advantage of home conditions it was a feast for the Indian batters, captain Kohli scored 254* On the other hand, Mayank Agarwal scored his maiden Double century and another century. Another batsmen none other than the Hitman Rohit scored opened his batting for the first time in test cricket has scored one double century and two centuries in the same series.

Meanwhile Indian pacers continued to impress , Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav took 24 wickets between them and bowled out South African Team. Indian team with their outstanding performance with the bat and bowl clean sweeped the series 3-0.

WTC series three – India vs Bangladesh , Nov 2019.

India played their third 2 match WTC series against Bangladesh in November 2019 and it was again with an advantage of home conditions and the main highlight of the series is India played their first ever pink ball test at Eden Gardens. Ishant Sharma took 9 wickets in a match and 12 in the series and india won the series 2-0.

WTC Series number four – India Vs New Zealand – Feb 2020

India played their 2 match test series against the black Caps in New Zealand in February 2020. India team collapsed for less than 200 in both the innings due to the foreign conditions it was New Zealand team won the match by 10 wickets.

Nothing favoured Team India in the second match as the New Zealand outplayed them and took 10 wickets for less than 200 in the second innings and won the series 2-0.

WTC Series Number Five – India Vs Australia – Jan 2021

India Played their fifth test series against Australia in January 2021 and it was a 4 Match test Series. In the first test Indian team collapsed for 36 runs in the second innings and it was lowest ever total for Team India in any test series.

As you all know Captain Kohli had to leave mid way the responsibility to lead were on the shoulders of Ajinkya Rahane. Along with calm and composure on the field Ajinkya Rahane played captain’s Knock when the team needed him the most and scored a century of his Lifetime and leveled the series 1-1.Wherein India were 2 down for 60 Ajinkya Rahane batted for more than 6 hours and ensured a win for Team India to level the series 1-1.

Third test match India had no way to win to the match but it was Cheteshwar Pujara Stood like a wall with Rishabh Pant on the other side layered a strong foundation. When everybody thought India will loose the match it was Hanuma Vihari and R Ashwin had put up a strong fight against Australia played with calm and composure and did not give any opportunity to the Australian bowlers and ensured the match is drawn and kept the series alive at 1-1.

Rest all is the History at Gabba, It was Indian young bowlers who showed commitment and did not shown pressure in their actions with the bat and bowl. it was youngsters who proved everyone wrong with their outstanding performances.

In the fourth Innings it was Rishabh Pant’s Show , Rishabh Pant took India to a historic win with his outstanding knock at Gabba in the Final Test “Where India Breached Gabba Fort for the time in 23 years”.

WTC Series Number Six – India Vs England – Feb 2021.

India Played their sixth WTC test series in February 2021 against England in home conditions . In the first Match England’s captain played a match winning knock and scored a double century to his name and they were able to put up a massive total on the Board, India lost the match with 0-1.

In the next 2 matches Spinners R Ashwin and Axar Patel put up a show with their outstanding bowling performances and on the other end Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar partnership helped team India win the series 3-1.

India Finished their WTC journey at the top of the table with 520 points and with the win percentage of 72.2% to quality for WTF finals.
