INDvENG – It’s a bad day for team India when nothing seems to have gone their way and things didn’t work according to the plan, Right from the start of the 1st ball players struggled to score runs and to get the respected total to restrict the England team. Shreyas Iyer was the only player who had played well and scored runs for the team to ensure the team has the right amount of runs to bowl the opposite team.

INDvENG – We just weren’t aware enough of what we have to do on that kind of a pitch i think lack of execution of the shots that we played we tried to play out their in the middle and we have to address the batsmen that it wasn’t an ideal day in the park and you have to accept your faults and comeback in the next game with the bit more intent with the clarity of plans and what are the areas you wanna hit and it was a strange kind of start for us the wicket probably didn’t allowed you to hit the shots as batsmen you wanted to i think Shreyas Iyers innings was an example of how you could use the depth of the crease and hit the areas square of the wicket which others failed to do so it was just the below par batting performance from us today and England made us paid for it.

On your day you will probably do much more for the team. At the end of the day you have to keep true to your intent and plan as a batsman, understand sometimes the bowling team will come out and execute their plans better. For me it is about going out there and trying to be positive as I can. It is not tough (changing formats), we have done it in the past. We take a lot of pride in playing good white-ball cricket, we have won the previous series and the series before that. We just have these five games before the T20 World Cup, so we need to experiment but having said that, we have to ensure we don’t take things lightly and especially against a team like England.
We look to try few things and having said that as a batting side you have to accept certain conditions that are in front of you and you can be aggressive from bowl one
