Shardul Thakur replaces Axar Patel in Team India’s World Cup squad

Finally BCCI has revealed that Shardul thakur has been included in the World Cup T20I Team list.

Even though Shardul Thakur’s inclusion came with a replacement for Axar Patel it is a very good decision by Bcci as he will be able to fill the shoes as a batsmen and bowler.

In recent matches be it Test match, ODI and T20I including IPL 2021 Shardul Thakur has performed exceptionally well. He has delivered with the bowl as well as with the bat.

Shardul has managed to take wickets in regular intervals helping team India win matches at crucial times.

He also helped CSK win many crucial matches where CSK was desperate for wickets.

Shardul Thakur’s inclusion in the team for World Cup T20I 2021 will be an added advantage for Team India because he is one of the best bowlers from in India.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee after a discussion with the team management has added Shardul Thakur to the main squad. All-rounder Axar Patel, who was part of the 15-member squad will now be on the list of stand-by players.

The following cricketers will join the team bubble in Dubai and assist Team India in their preparations:

Avesh Khan, Umran Malik, Harshal Patel, Lukman Meriwala, Venkatesh Iyer, Karn Sharma, Shahbaz Ahmed and K. Gowtham.
