Considering the safety of the players and also a risk that the virus could spread further amongst the squad and staff, the club decided to postpone the fixture.

The training ground at Man City Football Academy will close for an indeterminate period, unless the situation is been controlled.

It was the Second Premier League match this season to be called off due to the coronavirus cases after Newcastle’s game against Aston Villa at the start of the month.

Fans would be eagerly waiting for the action to resume soon.
